How we screen for cancer:

Preliminary cancer screening is part of every doctor exam (and is included with hygiene appointment). The doctor will visually examine the oral cavity and feel the neck and head region for any possible issues.

In the future we hope to invest in a Veloscope which will allow us to detect very early cancer issues with a particular wavelength of light. Any evidence will be reported immediately to the patient who may then follow up with an oral surgeon if necessary.
